Clerk Catherine McMullen is running for re-election in 2026!

Catherine McMullen is your Clackamas County Clerk. Elected overwhelmingly by voters in November 2022, Clerk McMullen is a voter-focused elections administrator, a lifelong public servant, a former union member, a champion for voting rights, a community leader, a wife, and a mother. She began her public service career more than 20 years ago as a public librarian and went on to launch Oregon’s only award-winning Voter Education and Outreach Program in 2015.

Catherine’s leadership is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves fair and equitable access to the ballot and that elections must be accurate, secure, and transparent.

Since taking office in January 2023, Catherine has conducted six secure, accurate, and transparent elections for the people of Clackamas County—delivering on every campaign promise, including:

  • Timely and accurate election results
  • Safe and secure election administration
  • Implementation of Track Your Ballot
  • Improvements in election technology and staff training
  • Ensuring equitable access for all voters

Beyond elections, Catherine has:

  • Officiated over 300 weddings for couples from all backgrounds
  • Led the removal of racist language from property deeds
  • Expanded Clerk’s Office hours to better serve the public

She is committed to continuing this work—building public trust through good, responsive local government and strengthening community access to democratic participation.

Catherine and her partner Michael live in West Linn, Oregon, with their two children and are proud to call Clackamas County home.
